I cannot say enough good things about this gym. I’ve been a member of “luxury” gyms in the past and they don’t even begin to compare to CPF. The facilities are beautiful and clean, there’s a great variety of equipment with enough of it that there’s rarely a long wait, and above all the instructors and classes are incredible. The community overall is also incredibly welcoming and supportive. I rarely miss a day here just because of how much fun it is. They also host a variety of members events, and while they can often book up quickly when they’re open to members at all locations, the gym-specific ones are quite easy to join. My only regret when it comes to CPF is that it took me this long to join!

Joined in September and love it! The membership is worth it for the classes and facilities (sauna, steam room). The staff are always super nice and friendly. I saw a comment on the classes being hard to get into...they're not? I went to 18 in September, 21 in October and I'm working my way through November. I have never been denied a class. The wait list always comes through. I have also shown up to the gym without signing up (in a worry I might be late) and I'm always welcomed into the class. I have only been to yoga, pilates, and core classes.

Been using Chelsea Piers Prospect Park since their opening. 4 squat racks with deadlift platforms, turf area, plyometric boxes, dumbbells up to 180. Locker rooms are always clean, complementary bathroom products and towel service. The quality of the gym combined with the services justify the price

This is an amazing gym! Love the space, staff and classes. Tons of equipment plus the steam and sauna were a great post workout feature! Plus there is an outdoor patio to chill! If you live in central BK then this is where you need to work out!

My husband and I have been at Chelsea Piers for two years now. We started at Downtown Brooklyn but made the switch once Prospect Heights opened. I love the classes, the instructors, and the facilities. It’s clean and predictable. I have read other reviews talking about how busy it is, but honestly - I have been a member at multiple gyms and have never known this to not be the case at peak hours. It is no different at Chelsea Piers. People have also shared about being wait listed for classes. This is true, but only once did I show up for a class I was wait listed for and was turned away. It was also Hot Yoga at 10am on a Saturday (peak time and the room was full). Presently the gym is attempting to make an effort for more community events (kayaking, spartan races, run clubs, book clubs, etc,) if you are looking to find friends they make it easy. My only caution is the childcare. They market it like it is an option but you can only book 25 hours in advance over the phone and they only take 5 -8 kids at a time. It’s not my favorite option but I use it when my husband is out of town. Because it’s a short amount of time (you can only book in two hour blocks, additional $20), I don’t mind. If it were longer, I still wouldn’t leave my baby in there longer than 90 minutes as the staff are kind but I am not confident they have enough experience to be working with such a range of kids. I love the coworking space and am there at least twice a week to work. That alone had us sold. A coworking pass in our neighborhood is $200 a month so being able to show up, work, work out, shower, and then jump in a phone booth for a meeting- that alone is worth the cost. Highly recommend!
