My previous experience with the indoor facility was not to my expectations, but Tarik handled our situation perfectly. We had the chance to come and play again. And everyone was friendly and we loved the facility this time. It was a great game.

**Topic - Pool Accessibility** Update as of July, 2022: Met with co-owner Jon where we chatted about my concerns. Jon explained there were no planned actions to address accessibility at the pool. At the end of our conversation, he requested I take down this review. Final Thought: I greatly appreciated the time Jon spent to listen to the concern in greater detail. It felt disingenuous for Jon to request this review to be deleted, when it was made clear no actions were planned to address the root of the problem - Accessibility to the pool at Boost! ——————————————————————— Main Post: Boost Charges its members a yearly fee on top of outrageous monthly membership fees for equipment and facility upkeep and upgrades, and has the funds to add a new X3 facility to their work out area, upgrade the benches in the pool area, and much more. However when approached about the need to make their pool area accessible to wheelchair users without the need to scale stairs, Tarik advised my fiancé that because the facility was built prior to ADA requirements, they aren’t obligated to make a change. The pool has a lift chair to assist users with mobility differences to enter and exit the actual pool, but how would said user even get to the pool without them creating an accessible, stairless entrance? Please see the attached photo to see the only entrance accessible to the pool (which includes an automatic door button that is much too high for any wheelchair user to reach). Later I approached the front desk about this same issue and was advised John would be giving me a call. It’s been three weeks and nothing…. July is Disability Pride month and as a manual wheelchair user, swimming is an essential part of my physical exercise routine. The excuse of “we don’t have to” or it isn’t possible given the “facility layout” isn’t enough. (America has put humanity on the moon, I’m happy to personally help you troubleshoot and find an innovative solution) 15% of the world’s population has some type of disability. Isn’t it a good business decision to make your facilities accessible to all? Furthermore, the future is accessible, if we believe in diversity, equity, and inclusion, accessibility is something we should also consider prioritizing. John/Tarik, if you’d like to reach me for a conversation, you’re more than welcome to still return my call. It’s not too late.

The pool is the only thing worth the membership here. I’m not sure where all of the membership fees are going, but it’s not towards the gym. Most of the equipment is outdated. A whole row of old stair masters and ellipticals don’t work, and although the ones in the front do, they need to remove the old ones that don’t work and replace them with new equipment. Pins are missing from some weight machines and many members leave their stations a sweaty mess. Most of the group classes are during normal working hours and the café is always closed in the morning. The locker room stinks, lockers are filled with trash, and the sauna & steam room were broken. Even if they were working, they are very outdated and not clean. Lastly, the pool is nice and being able to reserve a lane is wonderful, but be aware that it is only half the size of an Olympic pool when you’re counting your meters.

We signed up at Boost because it is one of the few, if any, gyms that offers child care and it’s very affordable. The staff is very friendly and the equipment is clean and well maintained and has everything you need! Highly recommend this gym! Oh and their smoothies at the cafe are yum!

My family and I have been attending Boost for almost two years now and have not looked for another gym since. The equipment is well taken care of and the staff is always friendly. The cafe makes fantastic shakes and smoothies and there’s always classes to take if I need a good workout!
