This is a place where the client not only does activities, but develops a relationship with the body and all the skills that this body can be challenged with. What I admire most about the YMCA, besides the fantastic structure, is the inclusion of all ages, which is an innovation. Different age groups have varying fitness levels, needs, and goals. For example, children classes can focus on developing motor skills, coordination, and healthy habits and seniors classes might emphasize balance, flexibility, and strength to maintain independence and prevent falls. Offering a variety of classes ensures that the gym is inclusive, accommodating members of all ages and fitness levels. This inclusivity can attract a broader membership base and foster a diverse community. The rehabilitation center is very crucial for those who are in need of physical therapy. Another factor that I appreciate is the variety of classes in its 4 spaces (a, b, c, d) and other spaces for activities such as football, yoga or squash. In your app you can book the pool for swimming, starting at 5am, which is extremely convenient. Also, the space for weight training and aerobic activities is large and airy (an essential quality in the Florida heat). In addition to all this, the staff is super friendly and competent. Henry is one of them who helps us by speaking in Spanish, English or Portuguese. The space for the kids allows parents to exercise while their children play. And, at the end of your workout you can enjoy a sauna like a spa day! It is a pleasure to have found a place that combines health and well-being.

The place looks great at a glance but once you join you notice all of the issues. I'll keep my review short about why I cancelled. I initially joined because the gym offered a sauna and steam room. That was important to me because most gyms do not offer that. However, the steam room is horrible. It doesn't work properly, doesn't get hot and doesn't hold steam. It's a major issue that a lot of the members are complaining about. The sauna doesn't get hot and is a little dirty. Other than that, the gym is OK. If you want to play pickle ball then it's a good gym to join but if you want to lift weights, enjoy the sauna and steam room, then it kinda sucks. The workout gym area is fairly limited. If they fixed the sauna and steam room, I probably would've kept my membership.

One the best YMCA in Orlando, it's so cute and clean, and the staff is simply amazing! The equipments are the best of the best! It's my favorite, I just wish they would have a microwave for us, the customers, be able to heat up the food before or after our workout! Other than that, it's excellent and I would 100% recommend it to everyone!

Good overall Management and staff mostly provide good operations and service. A few are excellent. The focus on ensuring member conduct (roving groups of disrespectful teenagers aren’t tolerated), the lap pool, steam room, safe parking lot and Foxtail coffee lounge are unique and important assets. Posted signs detailing simple rules and ways to use 5 of the men’s locker room amenities would be greatly helpful. As a highly recognized community landmark and asset, don’t wait too long like I did to visit the DP Y.

I have been to many YMCAs across the country and some are better than others. This is a really nice facility. Friendly staff, good parking, huge gym and lots of classes. The new app makes it easy to schedule classes. The pools are not the biggest I have seen, but then again, we are in the pool capital of the world.
