My family has had the most pleasurable experiences at Gym South. My sons have done the ninja classes and my daughter is on the Level 2 competition team. The staff members always pleasant and professional. My daughter’s coaches are absolutely amazing. While no place is perfect, I am confident in Gym South’s programs as fun and safe opportunities for my children to exercise, learn new skills and build healthy relationships with other children.

My kiddo had an amazing time here at the summer camp and at the birthday party event we had here. You can bring in your own balloons, table decor and food. They provide tables, chairs and two activities to pick from based on age. My kiddo is older so we opted for the obatacle course and let me tell you a time was had! I received many messages from parents stating how much fun their children had and how long they slept that evening. Gym South also provided goodie bags for each child in attendance which was a nice touch. The pricing overall is much more affordable than other children's party venues and makes for a more enjoyable experience for the kids. 10/10 would have a party their again. Excited to continue supporting Gym South and my child's interests by signing up for gymnastics lessons again as well.

Disappointed in my experience. They really need to examine this policy around punishing the child if they’re late for a 2 hour class. Through no fault of her own my daughter was 15 minutes late for a class that we paid for. It's also frustrating that the next make up she can attend is a month away. I hope this can be addressed by ownership. I will add, outside of this experience my daughters have had a good experience here. I was able to speak with the owner and share my concerns and I appreciate his pro-active follow up and I hope that this leads to a shift in policy at some point.

TODDLER INJURY NOT ADDRESSED!! Completely unprofessional response to a toddler injury!! I picked up my daughter from her day of gymnastics camp at Gym South. When we got in the car she told me her eye hurt today because she was kicked in the face. When we got home I realized her eye had what appeared to be a broken blood vessel (her pediatrician has confirmed this). I asked my daughter if she notified the teacher immediately when it happened and she told me there was no teacher around to tell. She then proceeded to tell me she was holding her eye for most of the day and then notified a teacher later in the day when it was burning. She was told that “it will be okay”. I emailed the camp director Cherone of this incident immediately on Monday as I was not going to send my daughter back unless the issue was addressed with the came counselors to ensure this doesn’t happen again. By Wednesday I hadn’t heard anything back so I called the gym to speak with her. When I spoke with her she explained that she did read my email (but she hadn’t responded) and that she did not know who the coach was to be able to find out the answer. I then inquired is there not a specific coach assigned to the toddlers during camp and she proceeded to tell me they switch out. I then inquired can she not ask both coaches as from her explanation there should have only be two people to question about this. She then gave an excuse that she doesn’t know who to question but she’ll ask. Meaning, she read my email but still had not looked into the situation. In my email I included a picture of my daughter’s injury and she claims her computer is too old to receive pictures. I work in tech, your computer has to be a dinosaur for you not to be able to see pictures via the web so that’s an unacceptable response. I then proceed to tell her that I would like an answer same day otherwise I don’t feel comfortable sending my child back the following day (take into consideration I’ve paid $150 for two days of camp this week and my daughter has only attended one day). She told me she could not promise a response back today as she’s leaving early. She called back and told me she spoke with two counselors who both denied knowing about the incident but there was one more counselors that was off that day that she tried calling but had not heard back from. She told me she would call me back once she heard back. It’s been over a week, almost two weeks at this point and I have not heard back from anyone at the camp. I’ve called to speak with her and was told she wasn’t there at the time but that a message would be given to her to call me back. At this point, I’m willing to count my $75 as a loss because if a 4 year olds injury can be disregarded in this way to them, they shouldn’t be trusted with young children. I’m extremely saddened because my daughter was so excited to start gymnastics, we were planning to enroll her in the afternoon classes as well and this was a trial run. Now I don’t feel comfortable that she’ll be well taken care of at this gym after how this incident was handled. Please be aware if you have toddler age kids that go here!!! Watch them!!!
