This is the best gym in the downtown Bellevue area. Old school vibes, cast iron plates. Older but exceptionally maintained equipment. It’s a great price if you pay for the whole year up front, I paid for a month and then I paid for the year and haven’t regretted it. Plus everyone is really friendly there, it’s really helping with my new year resolution to step out of my comfort zone and be friendlier, and find a third place— since I’m kind of a grouch.

The BEST gym on the Eastside. No frills but every piece of equipment you can ever desire. Always clean. Friendly staff. Many regulars. Three big rooms - one is full of weight lifting items. 4 squat racks and more smith machine variants. Deadlifting bumpers. 2 bench presses and an incline. Lots of hammerstrength machines! Free weights up to 200+ lbs for the body builders. Next room has lots of cardio machines and your more traditional machine lifts. Last room has an open area for abs. Tons of kettlebells. More free weights and a decline bench. Also a sled push and battle ropes. There’s everything here. Amazing prices. I can’t imagine Bellevue without Ironworks!! I love this gym! My wife too! Never feels too crowded.

Big fan of this gym. I built a gym at my house but I still go to Ironworks and have a trainer there because I like the vibe and I get more motivated working out there. The gym is home to some competitors but it's also very welcoming to someone who may be getting started in their fitness journey. I've worked with a couple of trainers and they were both very knowledgable about their craft. I've been with Danny the last couple of years and he has been a great trainer who listens to my needs and tries to find the right balance between pushing me hard and keeping me safe. The former owner Tim is always there and is a cool dude. I've also met the new owner Rohit, who is very friendly and appears committed to making this gym even better, judging by all the new high end equipment since he took over. Overall, great place with great vibes.

The Bodybuilding Mecca of Seattle! I was in Bellevue on a business trip visiting from Orlando for three days and how lucky am I to have found IronWorks Gym less than two miles from the hotel I was staying in. This is a true old school bodybuilding gym... The owner is a super friendly and present guy, engaging with the members and making sure everything at the gym is in order. Most importantly, he really made me feel at home. He charged me $20 per day which I found to be more than fair for my visit... The gym is not huge but it is still deceivingly big once you step inside, the walls are filled with signed pictures of elite level athletes, bodybuilders, and celebrities (even Bill Gates paid them a visit)... As well as trophies and unique fitness memorabilia. Locker room is very small but clean and has enough lockers to lock your stuff away safely and comfortably. There's enough cardio equipment which I used and was in great condition. There is a turf area for more functional training... But I did not use that area. The highlight is obviously the weight room and resistance training area, which again, I have to say it's really amazing how great they truly capitalized on the space.... everywhere I turn I find yet another machine available and hidden in one of the corners. There are a couple of power cages, a nice big squat rack, two smith machines, leg presses, and super nice IVANKO dumbbells going up to 200 lbs.... That's right... Ronnie Coleman would've had no problem lifting there. The machines are primarily Hammer Strength and Life Fitness but there are also a few other unique and specialty brands that were available and fun to use. The clientele was nice and friendly primarily made up of young techies and serious fitness athletes... Interesting mix :-) but still really nice people all around. When I was there I had a chance to rain at 5 am right when they open and at 3 pm... I prefer the 5 am work out... Primarily because that's my usual training time but also because 3 pm was a bit too busy for my taste... Although I have to say it was wonderful training in the afternoon when the sun was shining through the glass walls and the doors were left open which brought in the amazing Seattle mountain breeze. I loved it. Honestly, as important as my work meetings were, visiting IronWorks Gym was absolutely the highlight of my trip. Can't wait for my next visit back! Thanks for making me feel at home!
