I love the feeling of community and inclusion at the Y. From the second you walk in, you are greeted with a warm smile. The staff and patrons are friendly, everyone seems to have a good attitude. When I workout I don't feel like I am being judged- everybody is there, working at their own pace. And my favorite reward for going to the gym is the free cup of coffee when I leave!

We love the Franklin YMCA! The staff is always friendly and helpful and it has a lap pool and kids pool and great amenities. The weight room is adequate and has plenty of space, weights and squat racks.

Everything! Many hard working lifeguards ensure that the pool area is both safe and clean. Swim lessons (both group and private) ensure focused education with an emphasis on aquatic safety, provided by knowledgeable and patient instructors. The team in the membership office is knowledgeable, engaging, and fun to be around. You know anyone rocking the YMCA blue shirt is going to do everything they can to give you the best experience. The overall environment at this facility is positive, encouraging, and accepting.

Usually we go to the Brentwood YMCA but today we decided to try the Franklin location. It’s closer to our house and we were hoping to make this our primary location. As we were leaving, I decided to ask the women at the front desk, named Diane what the hours of the pool were. She stared at me for about 10 seconds and then said “the hours are posted at the pool.” I looked at her and said “well I’m here at the front desk & figured you’d maybe know the answer.” She dug through a bunch of papers and eventually told me the hours. I had my 4 year old son with me and if I walked back to the pool, it would encourage him to want to play more. Point being, she had zero customer service, was incredibly rude and not helpful. When we first walked in, I signed my son up for swimming lessons at this location but I will NOT be returning to workout here. I explained to her that I’ve never been to this location & apologized for troubling her. I get that everyone has bad days but treating guests so poorly is hurtful & unprofessional.
